MURPHYS ICE CREAM, DINGLE

In my opinion, the best ice cream in the country has to be Murphy’s.  I couldn’t do a piece on Dingle and not include Murphy’s.

Sean and Kieran Murphy started Murphy's Ice Cream in Dingle, Co. Kerry in 2000, with the goal of making the best ice cream in the world.

Stop. Close your eyes - can you feel it? The Atlantic waves crashing into Dingle bay, the fresh and green moist grass tickling your bare feet, the heritage in the carved rocks, the people, their different laughs, their music and stories … the pure definition of beauty. The beauty which we’ve strived to provide since we opened our first ice cream shop in Dingle in 2000.

Now, we could just tell you that we will try make your day better with a warm greeting and a smile. We could tell you about our beautiful ice creams made by hand in Dingle. And we could keep telling you and telling you again … but it wouldn’t be anything compared to the way you’ll feel when you actually visit one of our shops and taste our beautiful ice creams.

SO...STOP, AND ENJOY!

A céad míle fáilte awaits you at our shops in Dingle, Killarney, Kilkenny, Galway, and Dublin.

MURPHY'S KEEPS IT SIMPLE

We believe pure naturalness is key - no colourings, no flavouring, no masks. We make our chocolate chips by hand and bake our own cookies. For our brown bread flavour, we caramelise Irish brown bread with dark brown sugar. And you can taste the sea with our sea salt ice cream since we even make our own sea salt.

THE RARE KERRY COW BREED

Murphys Ice Cream uses milk from the rare breed Kerry cow - one of the oldest surviving milking breeds in the world. Traces of Kerry cow milk were found on pottery shards from 5000 years ago.

IRISH RAIN SORBETS

We make our own sorbets with our own distilled Irish rainwater for a cleaner taste, for sustainability, and for a unique dairy-free experience everyone can enjoy.
