EMMET CAHILL Q&A

What have you been up to?
Travelling Europe, Asia and touring the US in August.

Are you looking forward to the cruise and tour?
So excited, the cruise just feels like a 5 day party and I'm so looking forward to singing with Symphony Orchestras.

What’s the best thing about being on tour?
Meeting new people every day, constantly laughing and hanging round with the lads.

When it comes to breakfast, is it the healthy option or the full Irish?
Poached eggs, salmon, avocado, with a really good grains coffee, my perfect breakfast!

When you’re on tour, what do you miss most about home?
My family and my dog, Skype helps though, my family are used to me being away after 6 years of touring, but Ireland is always home, and there is nowhere like it in the world.

Who’s your favorite Irish singer?
Too hard to pick, I've started to listen to a lot of folk music recently, classically - I love listening to John McCormack.

Do you all play jokes on each other when you’re on the road?
Yes - all the time. 5 Irish guys on a bus for 4 months is always going to lead to a lot of pranks, and we are well versed in that after all this time touring. We spend most of our time laughing, genuinely!!

Who’s the biggest joker in the band?
Neil, so subtle with his jokes, yet cracks everyone up - and he NEVER gets caught.

When did you know, this is what I want to do, I want to sing?
I always lived for music, my dad taught me piano, my mom taught me how to sing when I was 7 so I couldn't have imagined doing anything else other than music.

Who do you most admire and why?
My parents, Brother and sister - caring, dependable people who always support me through everything I take on. I'd like to think I do the same for them.

Are you a daredevil?
Somewhat - I like to take on a challenge whenever I can, without challenges we can’t develop. I'm partial to an occasional rollercoaster ;)WHATS YOUR FAVORITE SPORT ?

What's your favorite sport?
Gaelic football

Have you anything to say to the fans?
A huge thanks for the incredible support for CT and my solo career. They go way above and beyond just supporting us - they're like our family away from home.

What’s the last thing you do before you go on stage?
I get ready pretty late so probably - put my shoes on ;)
